The Skaters for Moore Fundraising Committee will have a meeting on Wednesday, September 20th | 6pm-7:30pm. This meeting is for all those interested promoting skateboarding in the Sandhills and beyond with the following objectives in 2025 and beyond:
1. Sponsoring skateboarding instruction certifications for those willing to teach others,
2. Purchasing skateboard equipment for disadvantaged & at-risk youth in the community,
3. Promoting events to encourage participation in action sports locally,
4. Working with local businesses & other non-profits in Moore County to fund Phase 2 construction & expansion of the skatepark to accommodate the growth of the sport in our area, in coordination with the Town of Southern Pines.
