The English Speaking Union presents the 2024 National Shakespeare Competition! Schools in our region compete in the Sandhills Branch Competition. The winner of the branch competition will travel to NYC to compete in the national finals at Lincoln Center. The Sandhills Branch Competition will be held on Saturday, February 10th at 2:00pm at Pinehurst Village Chapel. For more information, contact burnshome2018@gmail.com.

The Shakespeare Competition, which is part of the National ESU Shakespeare Competition, involves over 140 students representing all of the high schools in Moore County. Nationally, over 20,000 students participate every year. The Sandhills winner competes in New York City with the winners of 55 other ESU Branches for the National Title.
