The Artists League of the Sandhills presents the July exhibit “Betty Hendrix Memorial Art” Exhibit & Sale. Over 30 years ago, Betty and her husband Dave relocated to the Sandhills. Her creations encompassed landscapes, florals, animals, birds, figures and portraits. Betty’s art was featured in more than 75 national and international exhibitions, and she held numerous solo and dual artist shows in North Carolina. In 2010, she achieved signature status in the Colored Pencil Society of America, became a member of the Miniature Painters, Sculptors and Gravers Society of Washington DC, and joined the Pastel Society of North Carolina. While she mainly worked with colored pencils and pastels, she also enjoyed watercolor, ink drawing, and scratchboard.

The gallery exhibit will be displayed in the Exchange Street Gallery of Fine Art through Wednesday, July 24th. Gallery Hours are Monday-Friday 10am-3pm. Note cash and checks only for this sale.
