
Arts Council of Moore County & Weymouth Woods Presents: “Palustris: Nature’s Narrative” Art Show

The Arts Council of Moore County and Weymouth Woods Sandhills Nature Preserve presents the “Palustris: Nature’s Narrative” Art Show. This is an exhibition celebrating longleaf pine and nature through the arts. The exhibit features work from artists Anne Crabbe, Rose Kennedy and Emily Whittle. The art will be on exhibition at the Arts Council Campbell House Galleries in Southern Pines from Friday, April 4th-Friday, April 25th.
An opening reception will be held on Friday, April 4th | 6pm-8pm, hosted by Marge and Jeff Holmquest of S & K Farm Market. Additionally, a special event, Party for the Pine After-Party, featuring singer-songwriter Abigail Dowd, will take place on Saturday, April 5th | 3pm-5pm at the Campbell House. This free event honors America’s oldest known longleaf pine, a 477-year-old giant in Weymouth Woods.
Gallery hours are weekdays 10am-5pm. The gallery will be open Saturday, April 5th | 12pm-2pm. You may also visit by appointment by calling the Arts Council at 910-692-2787. Please note that the Arts Council offices and galleries will be closed on April 18th. For more information, CLICK HERE.
