The Pinehurst Parks and Recreation Department is offering a Counselor in Training (CIT) program for high school students entering grades 9-11 in the 2025-2026 school year. This volunteer opportunity provides hands-on experience in a summer camp setting, where CITs will assist with activities, cleanup and safety enforcement. Participants must attend a mandatory training on June 12th and commit to at least four camp sessions between June 23rd and August 8th. Spaces are limited, and selected applicants will undergo an in-person interview. A $40 fee covers training materials and uniforms. High school service hours may be available for participation.
