Discover the art of oil painting while using the alla prima painting method, perfect for beginner and intermediate artists alike! Join Yvonne Sovereign at ARTworks Vass on Saturday, November 2nd | 9:30am-1:00pm. You’ll delve into the world of brush strokes, blending and color mixing under Yvonne’s expert guidance as you follow her step-by-step in painting “Sea Turtle” on a 9×12″ canvas. Alla prima is a wet-on-wet approach whereby wet paint is applied to previous layers of still-wet paint, often in a single sitting. Your finished masterpiece can go home with you the same day but be sure to bring a box or something to set your wet painting on during transport.

All materials are provided and students who prefer their own brushes and palette are welcome to bring them. Children aged 14 and older may attend class independently. Children under age 14 may join this class if a responsible adult also registers to attend and participate with them. You may bring your own Nibbles and Sips to class. The cost is $59.
