Let’s Look Together: An Interactive Arts Program for Individuals with Dementia
November 19 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm
FREELet’s Look Together: An Interactive Arts Program for Individuals with Dementia. This interactive program provides a sense of positivity and belonging in a relaxed, casual setting. Viewing and discussing art with a sensory perspective encourage unique connections in the brain. Programming enhances wellbeing and decreases withdrawal and isolation for both the person living with dementia and their care partner.
“Let there be NO fear of failure in this interactive program with other individuals experiencing memory loss. Feel a sense of focusing positively on the skills that are present in an individual with the diagnosis of Dementia. The opportunity with the visual and musical art promotes connections in the brain that engage parts of the brain not impacted by cell loss. Socializing with others is critical to well-being, decreasing withdrawal and isolation for both the care partner and the individual with the diagnosis.”
