February 26th is National Letter to an Elder Day! This annual day encourages people to write and send handwritten letters, notes or cards to elders who may feel lonely or isolated. The day was created by Love for Our Elders, a nonprofit organization dedicated to spreading kindness to seniors through letter-writing campaigns.
