The community is invited to the fifth annual Pinehurst Barbecue Festival with Tarheel Festivals, LLC! The festival takes place over Labor Day Weekend in the Village of Pinehurst. Presented by US Foods, Carolina Co-Packing, Our State Magazine and Pinehurst Resort, this three-day festival, headlined by Prieto, offers a unique culinary experience of various barbecue meats, seafood and traditional sides. Award-winning Pitmasters from across North Carolina come together to offer a “Celebration of Taste and Tradition.”

Friday, August 29th
High On The Hog Gourmet Pitmaster Dinner takes place at the Pinehurst Fair Barn | 6:30pm-8:30pm. This special dinner kicks off the weekend events. Hosted by Pitmaster Matt Register from Southern Smoke Barbecue, in Garland, NC, guests will be treated to some of Matt’s best Barbecue dishes and desserts. The evening includes live entertainment, silent auction and new this year, a bourbon pull. A cash bar will be available throughout the evening.
