The community is invited to the fifth annual Pinehurst Barbecue Festival with Tarheel Festivals, LLC! The festival takes place over Labor Day Weekend in the Village of Pinehurst. Presented by US Foods, Carolina Co-Packing, Our State Magazine and Pinehurst Resort, this three-day festival, headlined by Prieto, offers a unique culinary experience of various barbecue meats, seafood and traditional sides. Award-winning Pitmasters from across North Carolina come together to offer a “Celebration of Taste and Tradition.”

Saturday, August 30th
”Q”-School Grilling Class takes place at the Pinehurst Arboretum, under covered seating | 11:00am-1:00pm. Pinehurst has played host to many a “Q School” in its day, but none quite like this. Experience cooking and grilling demonstrations with a range of meats on a variety of grills. This class is led by Christopher Prieto of Prime Barbecue in Knightdale. Learn and eat at the same time. Sampling will be provided following the class. A cash bar will be available. Please note that no children under 12 are allowed at this event.
