The January meeting of the Rufus Barringer Civil War Round Table will be held at 7:00PM on Thursday, January 16th, 2025 at the Southern Pines Civic Club on the corner of Pennsylvania and Ashe St. Socializing begins at 6:30PM.

This is the annual Members’ Meeting where members of the Round Table can made short presentations on a topic they have researched or read a Civil War letter in their family collections, or give brief history about a Civil War relative, or display a Civil War artifact they own. It’s a fascinating potpourri meeting.

Paul Peeples will talk about Federal and Confederate Marines in North Carolina during the war. Kris Kibler will show a series of commemorative envelopes from the Centennial of the Civil War. Paul Brill will show a North Carolina stamped Enfield musket and a rare calvary Enfield carbine.
