SCC Department of Theatre Presents: “You’re A Good Man Charlie Brown”

Sandhills Community College Department of Theatre presents, “You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown.” This is the 1957 Off Broadway production based on the comic strip Peanuts originally published in 1950. 2025 is the 75th Anniversary of the introduction of “Good Ol’ Charlie Brown” and the gang! Be a part of this joyful celebration of Schulz’s enduring legacy and the laughter, lessons and love that continue to resonate across generations! This is the perfect show for all ages. This is the first student musical since the SCC Department of Theatre opened the Associate of Fine Arts degree in Theatre.

Based on Charles M. Schulz’s beloved PEANUTS comic strip, which first appeared 75 years ago in 1950, this heartwarming musical brings to life the endearing world of Charlie Brown, Snoopy, and the gang. First premiering off-Broadway in 1967, the show has captivated audiences for decades with its whimsical humor, unforgettable songs, and relatable tales of childhood triumphs and challenges. Marking nearly 75 years of PEANUTS and over 55 years of this iconic musical, join for a joyful celebration of Schulz’s enduring legacy and the laughter, lessons and love that continue to resonate across generations.

Directed by Bill Saunders, coordinator of the SCC Department of Theatre, You’re A Good Man Charlie Brown! features the talents of SCC Students and regional actors, with Jordan Watson as Charlie Brown, Jillian Mann as Lucy, Trenton Coleman as Linus, Micaiah Williams as Schroeder, and Micalynn Clark as Patty, and featuring Vinny Dupree as Snoopy.

Showtimes: Friday, February 7th at 7pm | Saturday, February 8th at 2pm & 7pm | Sunday, February 9th at 2pm. Shows take place in the Owens Auditorium of Bradshaw Performing Arts Center.
