“Helicopter Golf Ball Drop” Wall of Honor & Veterans Parade Fundraiser

September 21 @ 6:30 pm

$10 – $25

Join as The Seven Lakes News is sponsoring the third annual Helicopter Golf Ball Drop to benefit the Wall Of Honor and Veterans Parade. The helicopter will arrive at the Seven Lakes Golf Club on Saturday, September 21st at 6:30pm. The Autumn Festival will be going on 4pm-9pm with a BBQ cookout, Classic Auto Show and live music. Live music will be provided by Too Smooth Band at 4pm with Grey Abbey Band starting at 7pm.

This event will be an unlikely merger of a helicopter and golf balls that will make for a fun and memorable charitable event. To enter and be eligible for prizes you must be 18 years old and purchase one golf ball for $10 or purchase three for $25. MC and dropping the balls will be retired Vietnam helicopter pilot LTC Tom Elliott who owns the Sandhills Winery with wife, Trish.

Visit the website, pay for the balls and receive a ticket confirmation with your golf ball number, and you don’t have to be present to win. Typically there are 500+ golf balls numbered 1 to 500 that are dropped around the flagstick. The helicopter will drop individually marked and numbered golf balls onto the practice green with a target that is a flag stick. Similar to a closet to the pin contest the closest marked ball to the flagstick will win the grand prize of $1,000.
