The Southern Pines Appearance Commission will host this year’s Arbor Day celebration on Friday, April 28th at Pool Park. Third grade students from Southern Pines Elementary will be joining in the celebration! There will be guided tree tours to explore the magic in the “ordinary” sights at the Pool Park. Enjoy fun activities planned by the Parks and Rec . The formal Ceremony, Dedication, and the planting of the Arbor Day trees will begin between 11am and 11:15am. Five trees will be planted this year to help provide shade along the basketball courts.
