
Weymouth Center: “Horses Benefit Kids!” Fundraiser Kentucky Derby Watch Party

Join Weymouth Center for the Arts & Humanities on Kentucky Derby Day on Saturday, May 3rd for an afternoon of equestrian events to benefit Weymouth Equestrians. Weymouth Equestrians is a program that provides young people the opportunity to learn how to ride and care for horses on Weymouth’s historic property. Enjoy bourbon, BBQ and bluegrass at the Barn-Weymouth Center for the Arts and Humanities
First, see the Weymouth Equestrians Team Show Jumping Invitational that will take place 3:00pm-5:00pm. Spearheaded by Olympian and former Technical Advisor/Chef d’Equipe for USEF Eventing, Robert Costello, each team includes one professional and three amateurs competing on the grounds of Weymouth Center. Activities include a demonstration from students in Weymouth Equestrians, stick races for kids and a Kentucky Derby fashion contest with prizes for best hat and best dressed.
Next attend the ticketed Kentucky Derby Watch Party 5:00pm-8:00pm. Wear your fanciest Derby Day outfits. There will be raffles for your win/place/show derby picks, a mint julep toast, beer, wine and a Kentucky Derby Watch party! Includes food, music and a signature Mint Julep.
