The community is invited to attend the 2025 Moore County Writers’ Competition Awards Reception for the adult winners! Come and hear from some of the most talented writers in Moore County as they share portions of their winning works. The reception takes place on Tuesday, April 8th beginning at 5:30pm. Made possible by grants from the Donald & Elizabeth Cooke Foundation and the Mebane Foundation.

“Since 1986, Weymouth has hosted the Annual Moore County Writers’ Competition. Supported by the Donald and Elizabeth Cooke Foundation, the competition seeks to promote writing throughout Moore County and honor the work that goes into creating superior writing.”
