The community is invited to attend the 2025 Moore County Writers’ Competition Awards Reception for grades 1-12! The ceremony takes place on Sunday, April 6th beginning at 2:00pm. Each writer will share a recitation of a sample of their work. Reception to follow. Made possible by grants from the Donald & Elizabeth Cooke Foundation and the Mabane Foundation.

“Since 1986, Weymouth has hosted the Annual Moore County Writers’ Competition. Supported by the Donald and Elizabeth Cooke Foundation, the competition seeks to promote writing throughout Moore County and honor the work that goes into creating superior writing.”
