“With Hurricane Helene recovery still in the early phases in western NC, park staff across the state are joining efforts to aid our fellow North Carolinians in need. To maintain availability for deployment to the mountains, all staff-led programs and events at Weymouth Woods are on hiatus. As a result, the Trick-or-Treat Trail will not occur as planned. In its place we will set up a SELF-GUIDED story walk so that you and your family can still come out to learn about the not-so-spooky creatures of Weymouth Woods!”

Creepy Critter Crawl 2024
October 19th – October 31st

The Trick or Treat Trail is back this year at Weymouth Woods Sandhills Nature Preserve! Children will enjoy a fun-filled (not so spooky) trail.

Bring the whole family out dressed in costume any time on Sunday, October 27th 2pm-4pm to enjoy a family-friendly (non-scary) Halloween-themed nature trail, learn about the “spooky” critters of Weymouth Woods and get some treats along the way.

Want to beat the crowd? Become a Friends of Weymouth Woods member by October 15th and get an early access pass. No admittance prior to 2pm for non-members.
