DESCRIPTION:The Arts Council of Moore County (ACMC) created the Fine Arts Festival in 1980 to provide incentive for local artists to improve their technique and a place to showcase and sell their artwork. The festival has since grown into a major exhibit featuring artwork by artists from all over the country. You’ll learn to grind the edges of your glass to smooth perfection and apply copper foil to prepare your project for soldering.\n\nYour project will come together when Kathy takes your project home to finish with solder\, ensuring a professional\, durable finish.\n\nEverything is included.\n\nClass Highlights:\n\n 	Cut\, grind\, and foil your glass pieces\n 	Work with a variety of beautiful glass colors\n 	Learn essential stained glass techniques\n\nNo prior experience needed! Whether you’re a first-timer or looking to sharpen your stained glass skills\, this class will provide you with the tools and techniques to make something truly beautiful.\n\nYour project will be finished approximately 1 week after class. You will receive a phone call or text when it’s ready for pick-up.\n\nKathy has been visiting North Carolina since 1998 and has taken art classes at ARTworks Vass with each visit.  Her first experience was a Paverpol sculpture class followed by a stained-glass class—an experience that sparked her love for glass art.   Since then\, Kathy has dedicated herself to learning stained glass techniques.  Now retired and living in North Carolina full time\, she plans to continue pursuing her passion for stained glass and sharing her skills with others.\n\nImportant Information:\n\n 	Beginners are welcome.\n 	Please note: ARTworks Vass is home to friendly gallery/studio cats who may be present during classes and events. 🐾\n 	Children age 14 and older may attend class independently.\n 	Registration allows for one Guest per class project.\n 	Only Registered Guests may attend class.\n 	Registrations are non-refundable and cannot be rescheduled.\n 	Class starts promptly as scheduled.\n 	Dress to mess or bring an apron.\n 	You will be notified when your project is ready to pick up.  We will hold it for 90 days with monthly notifications by text or phone. DESCRIPTION:The Village of Pinehurst Art Studio Freestyle Camp invites young artists to come unleash their creativity in an engaging\, hands-on environment. Hosted at the Cannon Park Community Center\, the Art Studio Freestylers Camp (ASF1) is designed specifically for children ages 8-12. Campers will kick off each day with a guided workshop warmup led by an experienced instructor before launching into dedicated studio time\, where they can independently explore a variety of artistic processes and mediums with helpful direction whenever it is needed. This week-long program runs on weekdays from August 17th through August 21st\, with daily sessions lasting from 9:00AM-12:00PM. The total registration fee for the camp is $75 for residents and $112.50 for non-residents\, and all necessary art materials are fully provided.
