DESCRIPTION:Kids love to make art\, and our campers are sure to love every minute of our week-long Mixed Media Art Camps at ARTworks Vass! \nParents love how much we love their children\, the manner in which we accommodate special requests\, and that so many of the projects that we’ll make are of such a quality that they will be treasured for years or even a lifetime. \nMixed Media Creative Kids Art Camp\, from June 15th through June 19th\, will focus on Fused Glass\, Hand Built Pottery\, Fiber Art\, Two Dimensional Art and Ceramics. \nWhile you’ll notice that our Mixed Media Art Camps are offered several times this summer\, each will provide a unique experience with a variety of projects in each of these mediums. We always have a few surprises up our sleeves to keep things interesting too! \nYour Children will have more fun than you can possibly imagine as they build confidence\, develop skills\, and enjoy the camraderie of their new friends in our creative classes. \nWe enter each camp week with a well-planned curriculum that includes a ton of variety for your Children. You’ll have the opportunity to experience each step necessary to create stunning stained glass and leave with a finished piece ready to display! \nWe’ve kept the class size small and the project simple so this class is perfect for anyone at any level. \nYou will learn how to: \n\nCut your glass using a pattern\,\nGrind the pieces for a precise fit\,\nApply foil to each piece\,\nSolder your pieces together\,\n\nEverything is included\, except lunch! Class will break for lunch from 1:00-2:00 then return to finish. You are welcome to use our refrigerator and microwave or you’ll have enough time to pick up lunch from a local eatery. \nNo prior experience needed but is helpful! DESCRIPTION:Cork & Carriage Wine Bar in Summer Mahjong program is launching for players of all skill levels\, offering a full lineup of lessons\, guided play\, and open play sessions from June-August 2026. \nThe June calendar kicks off with dedicated lessons on Wednesday\, June 10th from 6:00PM-8:00PM\, followed by an open play afternoon on Saturday\, June 20th from 2:00PM-4:00PM. A guided play evening is scheduled for Wednesday\, June 24th from 6:00PM-8:00PM\, wrapping up the month with a final open play session on Saturday\, June 27th from 2:00PM-4:00PM. \nMoving into July\, players can sign up for lessons on Wednesday\, July 15th from 6:00PM-8:00PM. Saturday open play gatherings are scheduled for July 18th and July 25th\, both running from 2:00PM-4:00PM\, with a guided play session slotted for Wednesday\, July 29th from 6:00PM-8:00PM. \nThe summer series concludes in August\, starting with lessons on Wednesday\, August 5th from 6:00PM-8:00PM. Creative Kids Art Camp\, from June 22nd through June 26th\, will allow your children to exercise their creativity in ways that they never dreamed possible. \nWill there be paint? Yes! \nFound objects? Definitely! \nCollage? You bet! \nAir Dry or Modeling Clay? Without a doubt! \nAnd so much more! \nWhat will your children create? The sky is the limit! \nAnd we always have a few surprises up our sleeves to keep things interesting too! \nWhile you’ll notice that our Make a Mixed Media Mess Camp will be offered twice this summer\, each session will provide a unique experience with a different variety of projects. We also allow room for flexibility to adjust our camp schedule and our camp projects based on the needs and preferences of the registered guests in attendance. \nOur Planned Schedule for Mornings During Camp Includes The Following: \n\nTIna Fox\, who teaches high school in Apex\, North Carolina will lead these sessions.\nOn Monday\, Campers can expect to discuss the characteristics that make up an interesting and engaging charachter\, both verbally and in writing\, as they learn about the materials and resources that will be available to them throughout the week.\nOn Tuesday\, They’ll dive into creating their very own One-of-a-Kind Robot – “The Money Bank Robot” is hungry for money! Upon completion\, each child will be able to place a coin on their robot’s tray\, and watch as their robot swallows the coin into its mouth! The Money Bank Robot\, the perfect blend of creativity and education\, and will introduce campers to the fascinating world of robotics. It not only encourages hands-on play and imaginative exploration\, but also helps develop vital STEM skills\, making it a must-have for budding engineers and tech enthusiasts.\nOn Wednesday\, each camper will begin to construct their very own One-of-a-Kind Mixed Media Found Object Robot from the plans that they made on Monday.\nOn Thursday\, Robot construction will continue\, along with a deeper dive into the types of activities that their robot will be programmed to do. Join us for this special two-part wet felting series designed to introduce you to the relaxing and magical process of transforming soft wool into beautiful sculptural creations. \nThis registration includes BOTH classes in the series\, as well as your own personalized wet felting kit to keep! Your kit will include the essential tools needed for wet felting so you can continue creating projects long after class ends. \nWe’ll begin on Wednesday\, July 1st from 4:00 to 7:00 by creating three beautiful stemmed wet felted flowers while learning the foundational skills of wet felting. This beginner-friendly class is the perfect introduction to layering\, shaping\, and forming wool fibers. During this class\, we’ll also discuss the different types of handles and finishing options available for your August project so your chosen handles can be ready for you at the second session. \nThen\, on Wednesday\, August 5th from 4 PM to 7 PM\, we’ll build on those skills as we create larger wet felted balloon vessels.
