DESCRIPTION:Join Kathy Schroeder on Saturday\, April 25th from 1:30PM-4:30PM to unleash your creativity in this hands-on stained glass class\, where you’ll craft a Stained Glass Cardinal using traditional techniques! In this class\, you will cut and shape glass pieces using vibrant shades handpicked by you. You’ll learn to grind the edges of your glass to smooth perfection and apply copper foil to prepare your project for soldering. \nYour project will come together when Kathy takes your project home to finish with solder\, ensuring a professional\, durable finish. Everything is included. \nClass Highlights: \n\nCut\, grind\, and foil your glass pieces\nWork with a variety of beautiful glass colors\nLearn essential stained glass techniques\n\nNo prior experience needed! Whether you’re a first-timer or looking to sharpen your stained glass skills\, this class will provide you with the tools and techniques to make something truly beautiful. Your project will be finished approximately 1 week after class. You will receive a phone call or text when it’s ready for pick-up. \nKathy has been visiting North Carolina since 1998 and has taken art classes at ARTworks Vass with each visit. Her first experience was a Paverpol sculpture class followed by a stained-glass class—an experience that sparked her love for glass art. Since then\, Kathy has dedicated herself to learning stained glass techniques. Now retired and living in North Carolina full time\, she plans to continue pursuing her passion for stained glass and sharing her skills with others. \nImportant Information: \n\nBeginners are welcome.\nChildren age 14 and older may attend class independently.\nRegistration allows for one Guest per class project.\nOnly Registered Guests may attend class.\nRegistrations are non-refundable and cannot be rescheduled.\nClass starts promptly as scheduled.\nDress to mess or bring an apron.\nYou will be notified when your project is ready to pick up.  We will hold it for 90 days with monthly notifications by text or phone. DESCRIPTION:All the glow and movement of a jellyfish—frozen in time and ready to show off! 🪼 \nJoin local glass artist Wayne Manning on Saturday\, April 25th at 3:00 to make a blown glass Jellyfish paperweight. \nIn this hands-on workshop\, you’ll create a blown glass jellyfish from an assortment of color combinations. Each piece is truly one-of-a-kind\, and the experience will be just as unforgettable. More than a keepsake—you’ll be making memories to treasure for a lifetime. \nWhat to Expect: \nWayne will guide you step-by-step through the glass blowing process and together you will create your one of a kind glass piece. Glassblowing is a choreographed collaboration. This will be an enjoyable beginner friendly experience and by the end of your session\, you’ll be amazed by what you’ve created! \nYour glass project will need to cool slowly (anneal). Pick it up a few days after class or arrange shipping for an additional fee. \nImportant Information: \n\nNo experience needed—beginners welcome!\nAges 14+ are invited to participate.
