DESCRIPTION:Uncover mysterious myths and legendary creatures at the Homeschool Fact or Fiction? Fair on Tuesday\, October 13th\, from 2:30PM-4:30PM! \n\n\n\nHosted at the Moore County Library in Carthage\, students of all grade levels are invited to research an unproven subject—such as Bigfoot\, Atlantis\, mermaids\, crop circles\, or aliens—and create a presentation board\, diorama\, model\, or poster. Fellow homeschoolers will then explore the displays and decide whether each topic is fact or fiction. \n\n\n\nParticipant setup takes place from 2:00PM-2:30PM. Registration is required between September 1st-September 30th to reserve a display spot. DESCRIPTION:The Sandhills Natural History Society holds meetings monthly\, except in December. Meetings are usually held on the 4th Monday of each month at Weymouth Woods Sandhills Nature Preserve. Socializing begins at 7:00PM and the program begins at 7:30PM.The Sandhills Natural History Society was created as an outlet for those of us in the North Carolina Sandhills who appreciate and want to learn more about aspects of the Sandhills natural world and beyond. We share experiences and knowledge through field trips\, presentations and special functions to foster stewardship within our Sandhills region. \n\n\n\nIf you are interested in joining\, please come to one of the monthly meetings or come along on one of the group field trips!
