Pleasant Hines Park in Southern Pines. \nThis dedication follows a 2025 decision by the Southern Pines Town Council to rename the facility formerly known simply as “Pool Park” to honor the legacy of J. Pleasant Hines\, the first mayor of West Southern Pines\, and to officially designate the swimming facility as the Joe R. Wynn Pool. The ceremony marks the official transition and celebrates these two figures who have been instrumental to the West Southern Pines community. \nAdditional details for the celebration are still to come\, but the ceremony is expected to kick off the 2026 summer swim season!
