DESCRIPTION:💛 Warning: This class may cause extreme attachment to a very cute turtle. \nJoin local glass artist Wayne Manning on Saturday\, April 25th at 12:00 to make a blown glass Turtle! \nIn this hands-on workshop\, you’ll create a blown glass turtle from an assortment of color combinations. Each piece is truly one-of-a-kind\, and the experience will be just as unforgettable. More than a keepsake—you’ll be making memories to treasure for a lifetime. \nWhat to Expect: \nWayne will guide you step-by-step through the glass blowing process and together you will create your one of a kind glass piece. Glassblowing is a choreographed collaboration. This will be an enjoyable beginner friendly experience and by the end of your session\, you’ll be amazed by what you’ve created! \nYour glass project will need to cool slowly (anneal). Pick it up a few days after class or arrange shipping for an additional fee. \nAdd a light base for $9! \nImportant Information: \n\nNo experience needed—beginners welcome!\nAges 14+ are invited to participate. Students under 14 may be accommodated by special arrangement—text Jean at 910-528-1109 to discuss.\nOne guest per project is allowed.\nClass Length: Allow 60 minutes for your glass-blowing experience.\nAll supplies are included.\nRegistration is non-refundable and cannot be rescheduled.\nDress code: Wear cotton or other natural fiber clothing\, long sleeves\, long pants\, and closed-toe shoes.\nAt ARTworks Vass\, you’re always welcome to bring your own Nibbles and Sips to class.\nYour glass project will need to cool slowly (anneal). Pick it up a few days after class or arrange shipping for an additional fee.\nYou will be notified when your project is ready to pick up.  We will hold it for 90 days with monthly notifications by text or phone. DESCRIPTION:The Smoke & Ashe Pitmaster Invitational in Asheboro is a 2-day celebration of great BBQ and good times\, featuring family activities\, vendors\, food\, drinks\, entertainment\, and samples from BBQ pitmasters\, including Keith Henning of Black Powder Smokehouse! \nJoin Friday\, April 24th & Saturday\, April 25th in Downtown Asheboro for the Inaugural Smoke & Ashe! The Smoke & Ashe Pitmaster Invitational\, hosted in the City of Asheboro\, will be a “Celebration of Great BBQ & Good Times.” The two-day event will offer a unique collection of special events/activities\, vendor displays\, food and beverage options and entertainment for the entire family to enjoy. The event will feature barbecue sampling from some of the region’s top pitmasters including Asheboro’s own Keith Henning of Black Powder Smokehouse! \nFriday\, April 24th: The Pitmaster Dinner (6:30pm-8:30pm) The inaugural Smoke & Ashe Pitmaster Dinner kicks off two days of great barbecue\, fun\, and flavor in Asheboro. Hosted at Black Powder Smokehouse by pitmaster Keith Henning\, this special evening will treat guests to a full plate of Keith’s signature low-n-slow barbecue\, along with satisfying sides and desserts. The night will also feature live entertainment and spirits sampling\, creating a lively\, laid-back atmosphere to start the celebration. A cash bar will be available throughout the evening. \nThe inaugural Smoke in Ashe Pitmaster Dinner kicks off two days of great barbecue\, fun\, and flavor in Asheboro. Hosted at Black Powder Smokehouse by pitmaster Keith Henning\, this special evening will treat guests to a full plate of Keith’s signature low-n-slow barbecue\, along with satisfying sides and desserts. This all-day celebration of barbecue will feature five legendary pitmasters from North and South Carolina\, each crafting select barbecue samples that highlight the region’s rich smoking traditions. Every ticket includes one barbecue sample and a classic Southern side from each pitmaster\, ensuring no one goes home hungry.
