Up and coming artists and their work are presented to a regional audience in a professional setting. \nWhat is an Emerging Artist? An Emerging Artist is one who is early in their art career\, has limited experience exhibiting\, and seeks to further their creative work. Emerging Artists generally do not have an established resume of exhibitions\, but may have participated in group shows\, fairs and art competitions\, or art auctions. Candidates may not be professionally employed as a working artist. Please refer to the Prospectus for eligibility criteria. \nHow does our Gallery work? The Gallery collects applications from North Carolina artists who meet the entry criteria. Accepted artists are curated in for a two-month exhibition including an artist reception\, opportunity for an artist talk\, and promotional benefits through press releases and print/digital marketing. There is no cost to the artist to apply for this opportunity. \nArtwork is available for purchase with proceeds benefiting the artist and the MANN Center for the Arts. Circuit Wednesdays 1pm: Parkinson’s Wellness Recovery class that utilizes exercise stations to promote large amplitude\, high effort and attention to action using an array of exercise equipment. These exercises increase motor control and repetitive effort within time restraints at each exercise station. \nPWR! Group Fridays 1pm: Parkinson’s Wellness Recovery class that focus on movements that promote large amplitude\, high effort and attention to action from multiple positions (prone\, supine\, all 4’s and standing).\nThese exercises help to increase motor control with sustained and repetitive effort while also promoting better balance. \nOnce the above items are complete\, class assignment will be based on assessments and screenings. \nClass is limited to 10\, so please complete the above items in advance to ensure your spot in the classes. Friday’s stage will feature the McKenzie Brothers\, River Ridge\, Big T & The Original\, Twisted Grass Entourage\, Victor Dowdy & The Grassholes\, Starlett & Big John\, and Junior Sisk & Red Camel Collective. The music continues into Saturday with stellar performances by Tim Wilson\, Southeast Express\, Crocketts Ridge\, Steve Dilling & Friends\, Caroline Owens\, and Darin & Brooke Aldridge. \n\n\n\nBe sure to take part in the raffle featuring great prizes\, including one-week vacations at an oceanfront property in Kill Devil Hills and a beautiful getaway in Lake Lure. All proceeds from the raffle will be generously donated to High Lonesome Strings\, the ETSU Pammy Lassiter Dobro Scholarship\, and the Pammy Lassiter Music Pavilion for the Still Us Project.
