DESCRIPTION:Sanford’s Hometown Orchestra! Experience the power of classical music as the Lee County Community Orchestra presents its latest program\, “Empire and Revolution.” These performances feature the dramatic intensity of Schumann paired with the revolutionary spirit of Beethoven’s Third Symphony\, “Eroica.” The community is invited to attend either the Saturday evening performance on March 7th at 7:30PM or the Sunday matinee on March 8th at 3:00PM. Both concerts will be held at the Harper Center within the First Presbyterian Church and are completely free and open to the public.

SUMMARY:Lee County Community Orchestra: Winter Interlude Fundraiser
DESCRIPTION:“POSTPONED AGAIN! Due to forecasted weather\, we are rescheduling our annual fundraiser for Monday\, Feb. 9 at 6:30 pm in the Wesley Center at Jonesboro United Methodist Church in Sanford.” The Lee County Community Orchestra will host its annual Winter Interlude fundraiser at 6:30pm in the Wesley Center at Jonesboro United Methodist Church in Sanford. A musical buffet of signature works of composers will be provided by LCCO musicians! \nEnjoy an evening of dining and music to benefit The Lee County Community Orchestra featuring dinner selections of chicken or hand-carved roast beef with all the trimmings and dessert prepared by Blackmon’s Catering of Dunn\, NC. There is no need to designate a meal choice ahead of the event. A vegetarian option will also be available. \nTickets are $45 per person\, space is limited\, and tickets are available through the event website link provided below or through an LCCO Board member by cash or check.
