DESCRIPTION:“Empty Bowls – Cancelled. It is with heavy heart\, that we have decided to cancel the Empty Bowls event scheduled for October 5 due to low ticket sales and contributing factors. Thank you so much to all who have supported Empty Bowls through the years!” \nTake part in the Empty Bowls 2025 Fundraiser on Sunday\, October 5th | 1pm-3pm at Our Saviour Lutheran Church in Southern Pines. This event benefits the Sandhills/Moore Coalition for Human Care. Empty Bowls is a grass roots movement to help raise hunger awareness started in 1990 by the Imagine/RENDER group. Tickets include samples of soups and desserts from our area chefs. The event features a simple meal of soup from local restaurants and commemorative bowls created by 9th of September. This helps attendees remember the empty bowls of those who go hungry each day. Sponsorships are available. Tickets are available by calling 910-693-1600 or online.
