DESCRIPTION:Celebrate butterflies and other pollinators at the annual Flutterby Festival on Saturday\, September 26th\, from 11:00AM-2:00PM\, held rain or shine at the Village Arboretum in Pinehurst! Presented by the Village Heritage Foundation and the Village of Pinehurst\, this free\, family-friendly event focuses on pollinator habitats and monarch butterfly conservation. Highlights include:-Interacting with and feeding hundreds of newly emerged monarch butterflies inside the giant Magical Monarch Tents-Participating in tagging and releasing adult monarch butterflies into the garden to track their migration to Mexico-Touring the 10\,000-square-foot Native Pollinator Garden and Pollinator Pavilion-Enjoying butterfly arts and crafts-Learning about native plants\, birds\, bees\, and how to create a backyard pollinator garden-Purchasing native pollinator plants-Local food trucks will be on site as well with refreshments available for purchase.While admission is free\, tickets are required for each person in a group.
