DESCRIPTION:The Arts Council’s June exhibit\, called “Lost & Found\,” painter Rhonda Dretel\, photographers Cathy Carter & Angie Tally\, & potter Irene Russell present ordinary things—images lost and found—for you to enjoy and puzzle over. Are they lost or found? You decide. \nExhibition Dates: June 5th-26th \nOpening Reception: Friday\, June 5th (6PM-8PM) \nGallery Hours: Weekdays 10AM-5PM \nWeekend Dates (Hours): Saturday\, June 20th (12PM-2PM) \nThe Arts Council curates feature exhibits in its galleries on the first floor of the historic Campbell House\, located at 482 E. Connecticut Avenue in Southern Pines. As the home of the Arts Council’s Visual Arts Programs\, the galleries showcase artwork by local\, regional and national artists in a variety of media. Each show is opened with a festive meet-the-artists reception. \nAdmission to Arts Council Galleries is free and open to the public on weekdays (10AM-5PM)\, select Saturdays of the month (12PM-2PM)\, and by appointment by calling 910-692-2787. Arts Council members save 10% on any art purchases at the Arts Council Galleries \n \n

SUMMARY:Fun With Yarn! (Ages 5-19)
DESCRIPTION:The Arts Council of Moore County and Marianne Lewis present a fun two hour intro to knitting and basic yarn art class for kids. Each participant will leave with a finished project!Young creators are invited to Campbell House on July 13th from 1:00PM-3:00PM for “Fun With Yarn For Kids!” an introductory class perfect for children ages 5-9. Marianne Lewis\, an accomplished knitter and instructor\, will guide absolute beginners through a fun\, hands-on experience where everyone gets to take home their own finished project.  \n\n\n\n The cost is $10.
