SUMMARY:Pinehurst Youth Basketball Clinic (Ages 9-15)
DESCRIPTION:Pinehurst Parks & Recreation is hosting a Youth Basketball Clinic is being offered in partnership with Fitz n Fit Fitness at the Cannon Park Community Center on Tuesday\, May 19th. Coach Najee Fitzgerald and his coaching staff will lead the session for boys and girls between the ages of 9-15. \nThe program focuses on fundamental skill development both on and off the court\, including jump shots\, teamwork\, and good sportsmanship. Participants will be organized into age-based groups during the clinic\, which runs from 6:30PM-8:00PM. The cost to attend is $30 per player for this comprehensive evening of athletic growth and life skills training.

SUMMARY:Jr. NBA Skills Challenge (Ages 7-14)
DESCRIPTION:The Parks and Recreation Departments of Aberdeen\, Pinehurst\, and Southern Pines are jointly hosting a Jr. NBA Skills Challenge on July 24th at 6:00PM. Held at the Cannon Park Community Center located at 210 Rattlesnake Trail\, this free competition is open to boys and girls ages 7-14. \nParticipants will compete in five fundamental basketball areas: shooting\, lay-ups\, dribbling\, passing\, and defense. Players will be divided into 8U\, 10U\, 12U\, and 14U age groups\, with medals awarded to winners in each skill category and trophies presented to overall age bracket winners.
