When a community works well for older adults\, it generally works better for everyone. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTopics of Discussion and Concern for residents: \n\n\n\n\nSafety at home and in the community\n\n\n\nScam and fraud prevention\n\n\n\nHealthy living and active aging\n\n\n\nLocal programs\, services\, and activities\n\n\n\nCaregiver and family resources\n\n\n\nEmergency preparedness\n\n\n\nOpportunities to participate and stay connected\n\n\n\n\nAbout the Committee\n\n\n\nThe Senior Advisory Committee was established by the Pinehurst Village Council on February 24\, 2026. Its members are Pinehurst residents age 55 and older who volunteer their time to identify concerns\, share community perspectives\, and recommend ways the Village can better serve its senior population. \n\n\n\nThe Committee’s work includes: \n\n\n\n\nServing as a link between senior residents and Village government\n\n\n\nIdentifying emerging needs\, concerns\, and opportunities\n\n\n\nSupporting independent living\, accessibility\, and social engagement\n\n\n\nReviewing how Village facilities\, parks\, sidewalks\, transportation\, events\, and communications serve older adults\n\n\n\nIdentifying physical\, social\, and informational barriers\n\n\n\nPromoting intergenerational connections\n\n\n\nSharing useful information and educational resources\n\n\n\n\nShare Your Ideas\n\n\n\nThe Committee wants to hear from Pinehurst residents.
