STARS Charter School: “An Evening of Lit(erature) Theatre” 7th & 8th Grade Students

STARS Charter School 7th and 8th-grade students are presenting three theatrical productions based on famous works of literature and well-known stories on Wednesday, April 15th, and Thursday, April 16th. Both performances begin at 6:00PM and will be held at the Owens Auditorium within the Bradshaw Performing Arts Center at Sandhills Community College in Pinehurst.
Students will perform “The Ransom of Red Chief,” which brings O. Henry’s classic tale of a kidnapped boy who becomes too much for his captors to handle to the stage. This will be followed by “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow,” an adaptation of Washington Irving’s famous story featuring the mysterious Ichabod Crane and the Headless Horseman. The evening also includes “The 10 Best/Worst Things About Middle School,” a relatable production that explores the humorous and challenging realities of life as a middle schooler.
While the event is free to attend, the school gladly accepts donations, and guests are encouraged to use the provided registration link or QR code to help the students plan for attendance.
