The Lung Bus, funded in part by The Foundation of FirstHealth, offers potentially life-saving lung cancer screenings for eligible individuals. FirstHealth’s mobile Lung Cancer Screening Unit is coming to Southern Pines Land & Housing Trust on Thursday, August 21st, 8am-11am. The unit offers low-dose CT screenings for eligible individuals. Screenings are free and require pre-registration. Criteria for screening include being 50-80 years old, a current or former smoker (quit within the last 15 years), and a 20-pack-year smoking history.
