“Healing Through Garden” for Those Living with Dementia/Brain Change & Care Partners

Join for a special “Healing Through Gardening” event on Wednesday, May 6th at the Community Presbyterian Church in Pinehurst. This gathering is designed specifically for neighbors living with dementia or brain change, along with their care partners. The event runs from 10:00AM-3:00PM at 125 Everette Road in Pinehurst, and guests are welcome to drop by at any time throughout the day.
Participants will have the opportunity to create beautiful Mother’s Day bouquets for themselves or for others in the community. Fresh cut flowers, decorative containers, and ribbons will be provided at no cost, and volunteers will be on hand to offer assistance with the arrangements. It is a wonderful way to enjoy the therapeutic benefits of gardening while connecting with others.
In addition to the hands-on activities, there are several ways for the community to show support for the Still Us Foundation. Fresh Mother’s Day bouquets will be available for a $10 donation. There is also a raffle for a stunning piece of stained glass garden art, handcrafted by artist Diane Flanegan. Raffle tickets are available for $10 each or three for $25, with the drawing taking place on Saturday, May 9th. All proceeds from the day benefit the Still Us Foundation.
