Hummingbirds Are Back! 🐦✨ Celebrate the Season in Glass

The hummingbirds are making their grand return—and what better way to welcome them than by creating one of your very own in shimmering stained glass?

Join Nancy on Tuesday, May 12th at 5:30 PM for a fun, hands-on class where you’ll craft a stunning hummingbird sun catcher using traditional stained glass techniques. Choose from a rainbow of vibrant glass colors to bring your tiny winged visitor to life!

In this beginner-friendly workshop, you’ll learn how to cut and shape glass, grind edges to smooth perfection, and apply copper foil in preparation for soldering. Nancy will take your project home to complete the soldering process, giving your piece a polished, professional finish.

Everything is included—just bring your excitement for spring!

No experience needed! Whether you’re brand new or looking to build your skills, you’ll leave with the confidence (and soon, the finished piece!) to show off your creativity.

Your hummingbird will be ready for pick-up approximately 1 week after class, and you’ll receive a call or text when it’s ready.

Chain not included.

Nancy has lived in Aberdeen since 1991 with husband Larry, working as a musician, teaching piano, voice, and serving as music director at Bethesda Presbyterian Church. Upon her retirement in 2021, she began enrolling in various classes at ARTworks Vass where she caught the stained glass bug! We are excited that Nancy is sharing her passion with us at ARTworks Vass!

Important Information:

Beginners are welcome.
Children age 14 and older may attend class independently.
Registration allows for one Guest per class project.
Only Registered Guests may attend class.
Registrations are non-refundable and cannot be rescheduled.
Class starts promptly as scheduled.
Dress to mess or bring an apron.
You will be notified when your project is ready to pick up.  We will hold it for 90 days with monthly notifications by text or phone. If you haven’t requested an extension or picked up your work within 90 days, your project will be disposed of at the gallery’s discretion.
At ARTworks Vass, you’re always welcome to bring your own Nibbles and Sips to class.
