Parkinson’s Sit-to-Stand Challenge

Join in person at FirstHealth Fitness-Pinehurst on Friday, April 10th, at 11:45AM for the Stand Up to Parkinson’s Sit-to-Stand Challenge supporting more than 1 million people living with Parkinson’s disease. Rock Steady Boxing affiliates worldwide are working toward a collective goal of 1 million sit-to-stands: one for each person affected.

What is a sit-to-stand? A sit-to-stand is the simple movement of rising from a seated position to standing. It engages multiple muscle groups, builds strength and helps improve mobility and independence, making it especially beneficial for people living with Parkinson’s.

FirstHealth Fitness has set a goal of 75,000 sit-to-stands across all our centers. Stand alongside our Rock Steady Boxing fighters to show your support. Can’t attend? You can still participate. Complete as many sit-to-stands as you can wherever you are and report your total to any FirstHealth Fitness center.
