The newly formed Sandhills Chapter of the North Carolina Native Plant Society is hosting its inaugural kickoff meeting on Wednesday, March 11th at the Moore County Ag Center in Carthage. The session runs from 5:30PM-7:30PM at the center located at 707 Pinehurst Avenue.

Botanist and author Bruce Sorrie will serve as the guest speaker, presenting on the vital topic, “Why the Sandhills & Native Plants are so Important.” This event is open to anyone living in the Sandhills area or those interested in discovering more about what is considered the most bio-diverse region in North Carolina.
