Why do different birds have different beaks? Join at the Sandhills Horticultural Gardens on Saturday, May 16th, from 10AM-11AM for a special educational session for children 5-10 years old! Children must be accompanied by an adult "Bird Beak Buffet" In this hands-on ecology adventure, children will explore how bird beaks are specially adapted for different foods. Using a variety of everyday materials as “beaks,” participants will test which tools work best for eating marshmallows, seeds, fruit, and more—learning through play and experimentation.
