Peach Week Fun Run 2026 to Benefit the FirstHealth Cancer CARE Fund

Celebrate Peach Week in the Sandhills, from July 18th-July 26th, presented by Visit Pinehurst, Southern Pines, Aberdeen! Run your peach off in the Peach Week 5k Fun Run to benefit the FirstHealth Cancer CARE Fund, taking place on Saturday, July 25th at 8:30AM at FirstHealth Fitness Center. 100% of the proceeds from this race will go directly to helping community members navigate cancer needs. Enjoy this walk/run along the trail behind the fitness center. This trail is gravel and pavement with modest inclines that may not be suitable for those with mobility challenges. Cost: $25 for adults and $5 for children 13 and under.
Participants will receive: Popsicles, peaches, healthy snacks, a water bottle, stickers, and additional giveaways.

When is the Peach Week Fun Run?
The 5K Fun Run takes place Saturday, July 25, 2026, beginning at 8:30am.
Where will the run take place?
The event begins at FirstHealth Fitness–Pinehurst, located at 170 Memorial Drive in Pinehurst.
Can I walk instead of run?
Yes! Participants are welcome to walk or run the 5K course.
What is the course like?
The trail circles through the Pinehurst community and includes gravel and paved surfaces with modest inclines. Portions may be challenging for participants with mobility limitations.
Are strollers and pets permitted?
Strollers are welcome. Only service animals are permitted.
How much does registration cost?
Registration is $25 for adults and $5 for children ages 13 and younger.
What is included with registration?
Participants will enjoy popsicles, peaches, healthy snacks, a water bottle, stickers and additional giveaways.
Will prizes be awarded?
Yes. Medals will be awarded to the top male and female finishers in the following age groups:
- Ages 14 and older
- Ages 9–13
- Ages 8 and younger
Medals will also be awarded to the best-dressed male and female participants in peach-inspired attire.
What is the FirstHealth Cancer CARE Fund?
Established in 2000, the Cancer CARE Fund is part of The Foundation of FirstHealth’s Community CARE Funds. It provides direct support to cancer patients and their families as they manage the practical and financial challenges of a cancer diagnosis.
The fund helps eligible patients with needs such as medication and insurance co-payments, transportation to treatment, medical supplies and equipment, wigs, prostheses, mastectomy bras, scarves, nutritional supplements and other essential support. It may also provide financial assistance for certain cancer wellness programs. Learn more from FirstHealth.
How does participating help local cancer patients?
One hundred percent of the race proceeds will benefit the FirstHealth Cancer CARE Fund, helping community members access practical assistance and overcome barriers to cancer care.
Is there an early packet pickup?
Yes. Early packet pickup will be held Friday, July 24, from 6:30pm–8:00pm at FirstHealth Fitness–Pinehurst.
What happens if it rains or I cannot attend?
There is no rain date, and registration fees are nonrefundable because this is a charitable fundraiser.
