Line dancing has become one of the fastest-growing social activities in the area. Popular places: Tyson Sinclair in Carthage, Railhouse Brewery in Aberdeen, Hugger Mugger in Sanford, Moore County Senior Center and private events regularly host line dancing nights featuring country favorites, classic dances and today’s popular line dance hits.
Some local venues host weekly line dancing, while others offer special events throughout the year.
Whether you’re learning the Electric Slide, Copperhead Road, Tush Push, Boot Scootin’ Boogie or newer country dance favorites, line dancing is a great way to spend an evening in The Pines.

Where can I find line dancing near me?
The Pines Times maintains a calendar of line dancing events happening throughout Moore County and the Sandhills.
Do I need a partner?
No. Most line dances are performed individually as a group, making them perfect for singles, couples and groups of friends.
Are beginners welcome?
Absolutely. Many local line dancing events offer beginner-friendly instruction before dancing begins.
What should I wear to line dancing?
Comfortable clothing and shoes that allow you to move easily are recommended. Western attire is optional but always welcome.
Is line dancing good exercise?
Yes. Line dancing is a fun way to stay active while improving coordination, balance and cardiovascular health.
