The Piney Awards

The Piney Awards are a fun community-choice recognition from The Pines Times celebrating local favorites across Moore County and The Pines.

Each month, we’ll highlight a new category and invite the community to nominate and vote for their favorites. No paid voting, no fundraising, no complicated process—just a fun way to shine a light on the places, people, and businesses that make our area special.

How It Works

Each Piney Award will feature a local category, such as favorite ice cream, best family-friendly outing, favorite local shop, favorite patio, favorite live music spot, and more.

The community will have the chance to vote online, and the winner will receive a Piney Award plaque to celebrate their recognition.

Summer is the perfect time to celebrate one of our favorite treats—ice cream! Whether it’s a scoop shop, farm stand, café, or local spot serving up something sweet, we want to know where you love to go.

Vote for your favorite place to get ice cream in The Pines and help us crown the very first Piney Award winner.

The Piney Awards are meant to be fun, positive, and community-focused. Voting is free. Businesses do not pay to participate, and The Pines Times does not collect money for votes or advertising for The Piney Awards.

This is simply our way of celebrating local favorites and encouraging the community to support the businesses, organizations, and places that make The Pines such a wonderful place to live, visit, and explore.

Winners

Each Piney Award winner will be announced on The Pines Times website, newsletter, and social media. Winners will also receive a Piney Award plaque featuring Piney.
