The Sandhills Motoring Expo occurs yearly during Memorial Day Weekend, spanning from Friday to Sunday. We offer a diverse array of activities throughout the weekend, culminating in the Sunday Concours in the Village, set in the historic Village of Pinehurst from 8:30AM-4:00PM. Each day presents distinct events for our participants, ensuring a rich experience filled with automotive activities.

“Road Rally” on Saturday, May 23rd, 8AM-1PM| Location: Pine Crest Inn Expo Kick off an unforgettable day of automotive excitement and adventure at the historic Pine Crest Inn, our Start & Finish Line for the Road Rally. Located at 50 Dogwood Road in Pinehurst, the Pine Crest Inn welcomes all Rally entrants to begin the day with a delicious breakfast buffet and omelette bar. As you savor your morning feast, you’ll receive the Rally route and instructions, a Hagerty Rally Kit, and an Expo Rally decal, setting the stage for the day’s journey.

Once everyone is fueled up, it’s time to head to your vehicles for a grand launch from the front of the Pine Crest Inn. Don’t miss the chance for a photo op in front of this iconic structure, once owned by the legendary golf course architect Donald Ross!

The Rally will take you on an exhilarating ride through the scenic back roads of the Sandhills area, winding through charming countryside and villages. Along the way, you’ll encounter challenging questions and breathtaking views, making for a thrilling and engaging experience. The questions are designed to test your knowledge of local landmarks, flavors, and sights, making keen observation skills essential for success.

Each year, the Rally Commissioner crafts a new route with fresh questions, ensuring that drivers and navigators alike are both challenged and captivated by the stunning Sandhills scenery.
