Calling all young culinary enthusiasts ages 8-12 for a delicious lineup of activities during Tween Foodie Week at the Southern Pines Public Library! There are two chances to join in on the foodie fun, and participants who attend both sessions will even win a sweet prize. It is a fantastic opportunity for tweens to get creative, hang out with friends, and enjoy some tasty, refreshing treats over the summer break!

The week kicks off with the Tween Lemonade Club on Monday, June 29th from 2:00PM-3:00PM. Make your own lemonade, hang out with friends, meet some new people, and chat about books! A librarian will be there to chat and share book recommendations.

Next is the Tween Cocoa Club on Wednesday, July 1st from 1:00PM-2:00PM. It’s winter in July! Beat the outside heat in the cold AC and “warm up” with your favorite drink – hot cocoa. Add fun toppings, creativity, and conversation and you’ll have a great time! A librarian will be there to chat and share book recommendations.
