Have you always wanted to learn how to crochet but weren’t sure where to start? International Crochet Day is the perfect excuse to pick up a hook and give it a try!

Join instructor Karen Habicht on Saturday, Sept. 12th from 1:00 to 3:00 for a relaxed, beginner-friendly introduction to the basics of crochet.

You’ll learn about yarn and hook sizes, how to properly hold and use your crochet hook, at least two basic stitches, and how to finish your work.

You’ll create a small practice sample during class (not the chicken as pictured) that you can continue at home and turn into something useful, such as a potholder or even a simple scarf. You may not leave with a finished project—but you will leave with the skills and confidence to start creating your own crocheted treasures!

All materials and tools are provided for use during class, and you’re welcome to bring your own supplies if you have them.
