What Is Piney Fest?
Piney Fest is a youth-powered marketplace designed to:
- Encourage creativity
- Build confidence
- Teach real-world business skills
Young entrepreneurs create their own product or service, set prices, interact with customers, and make real sales—while families and the community show support.PineyFest is a kid-created, kid-run market held during HollyFest at Tufts Park (the grassy area in the Village of Pinehurst).
Eligibility
- Participants must be 5–17 years old (on October 17, 2026).
- All products sold must be created by the participating youth.
- Youth participants are required to operate their booth with adult supervision.

Registration & Refund Policy
- Registration is not complete until payment is received.
- All registration fees are non-refundable.
- Each registration includes one vendor booth space.
Booth Information
- Approximate booth size: 10′ x 10′
- Electricity will not be available.
- Vendors must provide everything needed to operate their booth, including:
- One table (maximum 8 feet)
- Tent or canopy no larger than 10′ x 10′ feet (if you want one)
- Up to three (3) chairs
- Booth displays and signage
- Selling supplies
- Cash and/or electronic payment methods
- Personal food and beverages (or funds to purchase food during the event)
Food Vendors
All food items must be prepared off-site and comply with all applicable health and food safety regulations.

Event Rules
Participants agree to:
- Follow all event rules and directions from event volunteers.
- Maintain a safe, family-friendly, and respectful booth.
- Treat fellow participants, volunteers, and guests with kindness and respect.
Failure to comply with event rules may result in removal from the event without refund.

Step 1: Sign Up Link HERE
Step 2: Pay on Zeffy
After you register using the Google Form, You MUST use the link on the Registration has been received email and pay on Zeffy. Your spot is NOT secured until you fill out the Google form AND pay.
Step 3: Confirmation Email
After Payment is received you will receive a confirmation email that will have your workbook. If you cannot print your work book, you can pick up a copy at First Bank in Pinehurst.
Step 4: Start working on your Piney Fest Booklet
And creating your business products and plan for Piney Fest!

What is PineyFest?
PineyFest is a kid-created, kid-run marketplace held during HollyFest in the Village of Pinehurst. Young entrepreneurs ages 5–17 have the opportunity to showcase and sell products they have created while gaining real-world business experience in a fun, supportive environment.

PineyFest takes place during HollyFest on Saturday, October 17, 2026, at Tufts Park in the Village of Pinehurst.

PineyFest is held in Tufts Park, the grassy area beside the Tufts Archives Building.

Who can participate?
Youth entrepreneurs ages 5–17 are invited to participate. All products sold must be created by the youth, and each booth must be supervised by a parent or guardian.
What kinds of products can be sold?
Young entrepreneurs may sell handmade or self-created products such as:
- Artwork
- Jewelry
- Candles
- Crocheted items
- Woodworking
- Baked goods
- Crafts
- Seasonal décor
- 3D printed creations
- And many other creative items!
Can adults sell products?
No. PineyFest is designed to showcase businesses created and operated by youth. Adults may supervise but may not operate the booth or sell products on behalf of the child.
How much does it cost to participate?
Registration is $20 per booth. Your registration is not confirmed until payment has been received through our secure Zeffy registration system.
What if registration is full?
Once all booth spaces are filled, participants who have completed the registration form will be placed on a waitlist. If a space becomes available, families will be contacted in the order registrations were received.
What size is a booth?
Each booth space is approximately 10′ x 10′. Participants should bring their own table (maximum 8 feet), chairs, displays, and any supplies needed to operate their booth.
Will electricity be available?
No. Electricity is not available at PineyFest.
Can I bring a tent?
Yes! Pop-up tents are welcome and encouraged. Please be sure they are properly secured with weights.
What if it rains?
PineyFest is planned as a rain-or-shine event. Any schedule changes due to severe weather will be communicated to registered participants.
Can I sell food?
Yes, provided all food items are prepared off-site and comply with all Moore County food safety regulations. Food vendors are responsible for obtaining any required permits.
Will there be food available?
Yes! HollyFest features a variety of local food vendors, restaurants, and nearby dining options.
Is there an admission fee?
No! PineyFest and HollyFest are free for the public to attend.
What is HollyFest?
HollyFest is an annual community festival presented by the Village of Pinehurst Business Partners, celebrating local businesses, family fun, shopping, entertainment, and community connections.
Why should my child participate?
PineyFest gives young entrepreneurs the opportunity to:
- Build confidence
- Learn customer service
- Practice money management
- Develop communication skills
- Experience running a business
- Meet other young entrepreneurs
- Inspire creativity and leadership
Can businesses or organizations participate?
Yes! A limited number of Community Activity Spaces are available for businesses and nonprofits offering free demonstrations or interactive activities. These spaces are for engagement only and may not be used for retail sales. There are a limited number of spaces, they are $100 each. Please email: PineyfestNC@gmail.com for the link.
Community Activity & Demonstration Space
This area is designed for interactive demonstrations, activities, and community engagement rather than retail sales.
By registering, you agree to the following:
- A limited number of 10 Community Activity Spaces are available.
- Each space is approximately 20′ x 20′ and may vary slightly based on the event layout and individual space requirements.
- Organizations with larger displays or activities may request two adjoining spaces, subject to availability and approval.
- Items, products, or services may not be sold from these spaces.
- Participants are encouraged to provide free, hands-on activities or demonstrations that engage festival attendees.
Examples include:
- Offering a free bounce house or inflatable activity
- Martial arts demonstrations
- Arts and crafts activities
- STEM or educational demonstrations
- Interactive games or experiences
- Community organization displays
Participants may:
- Distribute brochures, flyers, and promotional materials.
- Collect contact information or sign-ups.
- Share information about their organization, programs, classes, or services.
- Promote future events, memberships, or offerings.
Participants may not:
- Sell merchandise, food, services, or other items.
- Charge fees for participation in activities.
- Conduct activities that are unsafe or interfere with neighboring spaces.
