The Weymouth Center is hosting a Meet the Author event with Paul T. O’Connor to celebrate his first book, The Missing Child: The Life She Lived and The Life She Missed. Join on Thursday, June 4th at 2PM.
The book is a genealogical mystery and a tribute to O’Connor’s remarkably resilient mother, Charlotte Frazier O’Connor, who was placed in an orphanage in 1917 and never reclaimed. After a career spent writing for newspapers and teaching, O’Connor crafted this narrative after he and his sister discovered their mother’s private papers just hours after her burial. The story follows his extensive research through public records, private memorabilia, and DNA results to piece together his mother’s life and the history of the family that gave her away, offering an ultimately uplifting look at a strong, independent, and resourceful woman who deeply impacted everyone around her for the good.
The event is free and open to the public.
