Wild Thing’s Nature’s Palette presents the Botanical Art Workshop Series! Discover the traditional art of botanical dyeing at a Flower Pounding Workshop on Saturday, August 22nd, from 10:00AM-12:00PM!
During the hands-on 2-hour session, participants will pick fresh native botanicals directly from the property and use the Japanese technique of tataki-zome (“hammering dye”) to transfer natural pigments onto fabric and paper. Walk away with a custom naturally dyed bandana and several handmade postcards! Taught by an experienced art teacher and horticulturist, this workshop is open to all ages and skill levels.
