UP Stage Theatre presents the 2026 spring musical! Don’t miss “The Clockmakers Daughter.”

“The Clockmaker’s Daughter is a haunting contemporary folk musical that explores the boundaries of grief and humanity. After the tragic loss of his child, the master clockmaker Abraham creates Constance, a mechanical masterpiece built in his daughter’s image. Though she is a marvel of gears and springs, Constance is bound by a strict set of rules to maintain her clockwork heart and remain hidden from a town that fears the unknown. The story takes a poignant turn when Constance’s curiosity leads her into the arms of a local boy named Will, sparking a desire for a “real” life that her mechanical frame cannot sustain. It is a beautifully tragic fairy tale that examines whether the spark of life comes from the rhythm of a machine or the vulnerability of the human heart.”
