The Sanford Jambor-Bee, formerly Bee City Field Day, buzzes into a new location at the Chatham Street parking lot behind the Buggy Building on Saturday, May 2, from 9AM-12PM. This rain-or-shine Bee City USA celebration offers a morning of pollinator education and free family-friendly activities, including a live bee cage and demonstration hive hosted by local beekeepers, appearances by “Stripe” the bee mascot, and various kids’ activities. Attendees can learn about native plants from the Extension Master Gardeners and the N.C. Native Plant Society, while also enjoying the opportunity to purchase pollinator-friendly plants and professional beekeeping supplies from Midnight Bee Supply Co. Join the community at 115 Chatham Street to help save the bees one beat at a time during this engaging local field day.
