The Tyson Sinclair building is a combination of a 1905 mansion originally built by TB Tyson as a family dwelling, and the 1940 Furniture Company, built by the Sinclair Brothers. Having undergone more modern renovations, the exterior of the building lends to Moore County's best-kept secret.  Once guests enter the building, they step back in time, as much of the original character of the Tyson Sinclair Mansion is still remaining throughout its interior today.

The Tyson Sinclair building has so much character throughout. From its 1940s ballroom to the mansions 16 different fireplaces. There are hidden archways, an elevator that reached all four levels in its heyday, and we can't forget the 1940-style sign on the front of the building (it's the only one of its size and period left on the East Coast, to our knowledge).

​It was scheduled to be demolished in 2021 but was then purchased in March of 2022 by its current owners who are lovers of the town's rich history and did not want to see it torn down. Time, care, and vision have been reinvested into this wonderful legacy.

​Today the Tyson Sincalir is filled with unique shopping, food, and community experiences. It also boasts several office and retail spaces and is located in the Historic downtown Carthage area.
